I’m a spirit frog. I eat souls. Adorable bugs are perfectly safe with me. :)

    Depends on the bug.

Caterpillars and butterflies/moths, isopods, most beetles (not roaches), those fuzzy multi-colored jumping spiders, bees, stickbugs, and such are pretty cute.

Praying mantis are cool looking and not dangerous, but they’re also jerks like 75% of the time.

Anything not mentioned I don’t find aestheticly interesting and do not want touching me. Ever.

Insects are ok. Mostly. I have a thing about the combination of “too many legs” and “venomous”. Centipedes are a no-go for me, genuine visceral terror. Same with spiders - except jumping spiders, they’re bros.

Spiders are awesome because they eat the annoying bugs, and its really fun to watch them build a web. Its funny you say too many legs because I love it when I’m out hiking and find a millipede. Basement centipedes are fine as they are another annoying bug eater, I don’t really come across any large centipedes, but I’d probably steer clear of those.

See, I’m cool with millipedes - mainly because they fall in the camp of “not venomous”. And if they actually are venomous, I don’t want that information haha.

The basement centipedes creep me out but I’m not necessarily afraid of them.

Giant centipedes actually present a roughly equivalent danger as a venomous snake. It can be treated with antivenom (I think anyway), but left untreated can actually be fatal.

Spiders fall in a camp of genuine phobia for me. It’s a pure lizard-brain fear reaction when it comes to them and it’s really hard to overcome.

I sure hope millipedes are non venomous, I like playing with them. I would have to look up to verify, but I think some species excrete something when injured that monkeys use.

Sorry about the spiders for you, I’m cautious around hunting spiders, but no phobia.

Short of a few exceptions, cute! Spider I like the most probably, but we only have small harmless ones in New Zealand

Hmmm, I though everything in that part of the world tries to kill you, or is that just restricted to Australia? The largest near me are the Joro spiders that moved in a few years ago.

It is just Australia, hah. The worst you might find here is a wild boar. Although if you go out into the wilds or mountains the terrain might just try to kill you

generally what makes insects creepy is long thin legs and scary mandibles. those that don’t have these features can be really cute. bonus points if they’re fluffy.

then again creepy can be cool depending on presentation
