I have as much anxiety about posting as I do about talking to people I’ve never met (A lot). I feel uncomfortable with two word responses “nice work”, “I like it”. I am not an artist and have no art of my own. I don’t feel like I have anything to say, and if I do, I don’t know that anyone wants to hear it.

I just don’t have too mcuh to say. I mean, I’m always down to talk about DnD, but the furry community are my people first and foremost.

I don’t know if there are a lot of lurkers or just very few users who specifically stay within the instance. I have my sorting by new comments and it’s only rarely anything from Yiffit actually rises to the top :(

Pawb seems a bit more active. Even the porn communities here are not super active. But I’m not leaving cuz I like the intentions behind the instance being a little more adult, since the furry communities in Reddit were so full of children and I want to hang out with furries my own age; not little kids.

I lurk mainly because I don’t have anything new to bring to a conversation or interesting content, so I just upvote and scroll.

I mainly do the same thing, though I do comment sometimes on porn that interests me, even if it’s not something new to the conversation, some comments are better than no comments.

There are lots of reasons why I prefer to lurk, and some of them - my English is not so good, and while I don’t use translator for writing comment’s and chatting, there’s still always a feeling that my poor knowledge of language makes me look ridiculous. Also my social anxiety makes much harder for me to make any contact with people just because it always feels like I’ll be ashamed for my opinion, for my poor selection of words and so on

To me your English looks amazing. I’m working on my own anxiety, I’ve made a challenge to myself to post twice a week and make a bit more of an effort to post more comments when something is on my mind. So long as you don’t violate the rules here, the worst that will happen with posting something that people here don’t like is it doesn’t get voted on. Maybe someone will post something mean, but just block, report and move on. Statistically there is at least one other person here who is into whatever it is you post.

I think this is the real reason there isn’t much engagement here.

Mostly because I don’t have much to say. I also want to see if there’s space for me in the community in general and I’m being cautious

I’ll comment on the occasional porn post here on yiffit, but I reserve my commenting here mostly to discussion posts like these, haven’t seen many of them around though. Should really get to posting some sometime, I’m mainly here for that as I do my porn consumption elsewhere.
