He will certainly be remembered.

Honestly, in the modern world where it seems like every large website has been screwing their users for short therm profits, it’s been nice seeing fA being mostly stable and user centric. It’s also responsible for the huge growth of the furry fandom.

I don’t know much about him as a person (and given some people’s responses, I probably don’t want to…), but furaffinity has been an amazing site, despite it’s ups and downs.

I wonder who’ll replace him. Changing owners of a site is always worrying; the last thing I want to see is yet another phenomenal collection of art and users and community get destroyed by corporate scum who think they can squeeze a few dollars out in the process.

Honestly, I’m not that worried. I imagine that given Furaffinity’s size they probably currently have a team running it anyway rather than one person, so nothing really changes on that front.

… Or maybe that’s just empty optimism on my part.

Somebody has to own it and pay the bills. Its big enough the day to day running can be a team of mods, but small enough that the admin stuff could be down to one.

I’d make some sort of wisecracking joke, but seems a bit soon.

Certainly not news I expected today.

Me neither, though he was apparently been sick for a while. It seems his death was sudden, but I would not say unexpected.
