Whether your active on other instances, a long time lurker, a former active user…, Are you still around?

I wish I knew how to engage with the furry community better. I’m almost 40, have been a furry since I was maybe 12. I have never successfully made any furry friends or engaged with any furry communities in the interim time.

When a post from this community rolls through my feed I comment on it. That’s kinda rare though.

Also huge shoutout to Lemmy for showing me a post in a community that gets one post per month tops three days after it was posted

I mostly browse subscribed, new, or all hot; Active is a terrible sorting where you mostly see stale old posts. Haven’t played around much with scaled.

I still check this place regularly, but don’t really post much stuff because I’m on meds that kinda make it hard to get frisky. I also still post somewhat regularly using my sfw account.

Honestly it’s a shame that Lemmy didn’t take off as well as we hoped it would, but at least everything is in place for the next time Reddit shoots itself in the foot. Special shout-out to the people regularly posting content to communities even though they don’t get many responses.

I ditched my SFW account when I started with lemmy. I’m anonymous anyway, so I thought “why split?”. After overcoming any fears about posting in the first place, its been rather freeing.

I’m honestly still trying to figure out how I want to split my “IRL life”, my “SFW furry life” and my “kinky furry life”… I’m pretty sure someone could probably, with enough effort, find out my personal details. But I’m not sure whether anyone would be bothered enough to do that. I’m also not sure how “career and social status ending” it would be if it came out…

The joys of living a sheltered life, having social anxiety and being repeatedly told you are unable to learn social etiquette…

I consider myself a professional lurker, i’m always on lemmy, yet never post anything
    It’s a hard earned skill

I’d call it a frame of mind, not a skill. I was mostly a lurker on reddit for 10 years (SFW account, the one with this name is 7). Through some events, and the fact there wasn’t much content here, I made the decision to be an active participant. I’ve slowly been trying to post on some other sites too. It was tough the first few times, but its getting easier.

Been here since the blackout on reddit, don’t see myself moving away anytime soon. (From lemmy in general)

Hell yeah I’m still around, making bad jokes and commenting on anything cat related

I’m not good at posting I just do it and nobody has stopped me or complained yet. Chats are random questions that pop into my head, and posts are things I come across that I like.
