I came with the API changes, but I think I started looking at alternatives with one of the CEO actions before then. This space (yiffit) didn’t even exist before the API changes. I’m surprised there wasn’t any exodus with the official partnerships with AI or the actual IPO. When I peek over there, the content on the big subs seems “fake”.

I don’t have telegram, as I don’t have a smartphone, but I get the sense that is more of a chat space where here and reddit is more of a forum space.

One last thing, right after the API changes, there was a decent amount of activity here, but that seems to have gone mostly away.

Yeah telegram is for chatting - a bit like Whatsapp. But there are groups that post furry art, more like a forum. The fact that it allows custom stickers attracts a lot of furries!

I guess with any platform you’ll have people that try it out but don’t end up sticking around.

Anyway, the Yiffit sign ups were closed last I heard, which makes it tricky to attract new people! Maybe pawb.social would be worth advertising, and then people from that instance can post to yiffit like I do.

In some ways having it be a fairly quiet location is sort of nice - reminds me of being on forums when I was younger. But yeah maybe it’s a bit too quiet.

The post saying that signups were closed has been un-pinned, but no announced update. The signup button exists though.

Yea, quiet is nice… but I thinks its a bit too quiet here. 1 post a day would be a lot better than 1 post a week. A comment or two per post wouldn’t hurt either.

Ah hopefully it is possible for new users to sign up then! With any luck if we keep a little community going here, eventually others will come.
