I’m a millennial. Anecdotally, I haven’t seen as much bashing on gen z at least amongst other millennials. The older folks are going on about hair colors and the typical boomer stuff, but I see more acceptance of the youths amongst my peers. Most notably gen z tends to be a lot better with showing emotions and communication. I think the only thing I’ve complained about is these past trends of kids just ripping sinks and urinals off the walls in bathrooms and other oddly destructive things. That felt like a newer trend that I didn’t experience going through school or really hear about.

Millennial teacher here ('85). I have seen it two or three times maybe. But from people who just basically wanted to complain about everything.

I’m in utter disbelief whenever I hear this kind of comment. The young generation is fantastic, and I just hope they’ll keep their resolve to revolt and Wil manage to avoid the traps our generations fell into.

Older people like me should never judge the young. We should either help them, root for them or apologize to them (what a world we welcome them in…).

The first sentence in your second paragraph, when you say, “utter disbelief”, are you taking what I said as an insult towards the newer generation or are you referring to the OP comic strip? If so, I’m not trying to insult them at all. I’m a big fan as a whole, just minor fries from some bad actors that don’t represent the generation, but happen to be a part of it.

Ah, no, not at all sorry. As you may have guessed, I’m not located on an English speaking country, so I may not phrase my thoughts well. My message was an echo to yours, I was referring to insults towards the newer generation in general. My starting point echoed yours : I rarely hear those, but when I do, this utter disbelief kicks in. I hope that clarifies my point!

I wouldn’t have guessed you didn’t speak English; your original comment was perfectly clear.

No need to apologize, you were clear, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t misreading. I think general when I hear or use the words "utter " it’s usually about something bad or whimsical. Not that it has to be, rather it’s just how my mind initially interprets it
