Is there any issue with like copyright infringement or any other quirk to my understanding?

By Redit…?
I mean I know it’s associated with Reddit, but I didn’t know it was trademarked by them.
Who else could that be relevant for, thats where it was implemented first, isn’t it?
Yes, but what I mean is I didn’t expect Reddit to go full Hollywood on the term. It would be like Lemmy gatekeeping the term Lemming. So I then wondered if maybe someone else seized that opportunity.
Do we have everything like reserved or copyrighted in a way that some asshole can’t take it away forever?
Edit: you’re giving Redit way too much cRedit if you don’t think they wouldn’t swoop in 5sec after reading this post
If nobody has swooped in yet, they probably won’t. At the moment, “AMA” seems like it has kleenex status.
Thats not the point, I want to make aure I don’t spend time on something Redit can use against us or influence. I don’t like when things CAN be taken away from me. Thats why everybody relies on contracts to maximize certainty in the future
I cannot speak for anyone aside from myself, but I would be confident betting on the fact Reddit won’t weaponize if we do as you were asking. I myself enjoy these liberties frequently. I am the world record holder for the most sites having been signed up for (a strange world record some might say, but hey, a landmark is a landmark) and I’ve never come across a place where people complained about acronyms.
Thats neat, Im a bit tired but I’ll read thru it when I’m feeling a bit better :)
I feel like we’ll be just fine, have a good night
I don’t like others having the power to put a pin it it for me. Its more important to me that someone can’t influence my choices than whether they would, does that make sense? Buy the land before you build the cottage, don’t be improvisitory on this thing
