But on the other hand, he’s telling blatant lies that are easily refuted with audio recordings, transcripts, the actual e-mails, etc. I’m guessing there’s actually some revenue impact already for him to go from “It’ll pass” to this freakout they’re having over there.

They are trying to be the next Instagram. Developers are not a core part of any other large platform - Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, snap etc. So reddit does not care about them. They want to lock the platform down so they can make more money.
