I’ll pin this for a day. Due to there being potentially different implementations of the ActivityPub protocol such as Lemmy, Mastodon or Kbin it’s not always guaranteed that an image in a NSFW community will be hidden or flagged by default.
Please make sure you flag your individual posts as NSFW as well.
We’re in the very early stages of Lemmy/kbin and there’s still many things to iron out. It sucks but things will go better and easier over time.
If you have some time please check your post history to make sure your images are tagged correctly.
Thank you!
Guess other instances do not care regardless even if its correctly flagged and tagged and everything. I had a discussion about this topic with the mods of feddit.de, but they are firm to block whole instances if there is any NSFW community on it. No matter what. I am now on kbin and deleted my account there.
Yeah, I talked to them. Their admin was nice but let me know they would keep defederated until there was a way they could block only the nsfw content.
What I don’t understand it’s why they wouldn’t block all nsfw content like lemmy.ml does. Then they wouldn’t have to care.
I don’t understand it either. Now on kbin I can simply interact with every community I have on my list and I am happy. Thank you for yiffit.net
I was browsing kbin.social, and decided to check out my lemmy account. Looks like the NSFW filters aren’t being sent over or displayed using kbin properly. https://kbin.social/u/@Capydeev@pawb.social <- you can see that my posts suddenly become uncensored after the 14th. But on this lemmy profile they’re all flagged as NSFW.
Edit: Think I might hold fire on NSFW posting until I know that glitch is sorted. Sorry to any unsuspecting kbin users.
