    Obligatory.

Edit: …wow I made the meme way too low-res. Hope it’s showin’ up alright in y’all’s apps.

Enterprise was arguably hornier with all the decon chamber raisin smuggling and massages.

Speaking of the horniest ship in Star Fleet, I really hope Shax is okay. I am very upset about how Dr. T’ana is treating him

It didn’t seem very consensual in s4e2 just before she’s assaulting Robin Hood

Edit: Just to be clear, I’m not upset that this is in the show, I just love Shax, and want Papa Bear to be okay! 😭

If Roddenberry had his way TNG would been way hornier, some summarizations of his early pitches basically had the Enterprise D being a giant polygamous orgy off duty, and definitely earning that D in their registry. To say nothing of sexual counselors and holodeck progams that would make Quark’s holosuites blush.

Am I the only one who doesn’t want my sci-fi horny?

It also makes it much more tantalizing/potent when it does occur (Tony shalhoub in galaxy quest)

It’s strange im a millennial siding with gen-z on that.

I think it’s fine on Lower Decks since they make it funny. I hope no one thinks we need another episode like the one from TNG season 1 where Data does the deed.

As a Gen-Xer who got plenty of in the 90s and early 00s, horny sci-fi works in moderation, but, yeah, LD could afford to dial it back a smidge. I like the dynamism of that show, and the writers have no shortage of imagination. Let’s stifle that urge. It’s like the fart joke of this generation.

I’d like to say that civilization evolves, but this feels like more of a lateral move.

Ace Trekkie here, you’re not alone! The decon scenes in Enterprise especially just make me cringe so hard, there’s just way too much horniness on that show for my tastes.

Although it’s probably realistic though. They’re alone in space on the road for months at a time. There are other no other human ships that far out at that point in time so it’s basically just them and the people on board.

The shower scene in the first episode of Enterprise put me off of watching the show for many, many years.

When did Ferengi meet Porthos? I thought TNG was the first appearance in canon.

There was an episode of Enterprise where they snuck into the ship while everyone was in suspended animation comas for some reason.

One of the many post TOS appearances of Clint Howard, too!

Oh, I though it was a line for Jadzia, about Kira.

It takes several seazons for Sisko to become a war criminal, and I’m not sure that qualifies as terrorism… But well, it’s just a meme.

Star Trek: Prodigy. It’s the Nickelodeon show for kids who have never watched Star Trek. It features a cast of new alien species who find a mysteriously abandoned prototype Starfleet ship. The ship mistakes them as a batch of Starfleet recruits, and a holographic Janeway teaches them the basics of the Star Trek universe and things like the Prime Directive.

That sounds amazing! I might have to recommended it to the nieces and nephews/totally not use them as an excuse to watch it myself.

If you want that cartoony trek, Lower Decks is also great. Just don’t watch with the nieces and nephews unless they’re older… It is the horniest ship in Starfleet, even though that doesn’t come up nearly as much as the meme would have you believe.

Paramount & Nickelodeon dropped Star Trek Prodigy recently, but it’s coming to Netflix very soon. The 20 episode first season will be out on Netflix before end of year, and a new season in 2024.

And many older fans are loving it too. I’d describe it as ‘family viewing’ rather than a show for kids. It starts out (intentionally) feeling like that other big franchise to some extent but by episode 6, it’s the Trekkiest thing ever!
