I love drama. Tell me what’s going on in your life. Right now we’re trying to get my mother-in-law to move out and she is just being difficult about it.

not my drama but a friends… her mom has uncontrolled diabetes along with borderline personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorder.

a couple of months ago she got and at home manicure from some shady outfit. ended up with an fungus which when asked to recount how this could have happened she kept lying and saying she didn’t know.

she didn’t keep up with the care on it so it became infected and they needed to do surgery to remove her nail. during the surgery they discovered it had infected the bone and the tip of the finger needed to be amputated.

they do this and send her home. my friend settles her in after surgery, went i guess to use the bathroom before leaving only to find her mom gathering her purse with keys in hand.

as you might expect my friend was appalled and asked her where she was going. mom replies…" well your aunt asked me to drive her to the airport today "

friend looks out the window and yes, there’s auntie “waiting on the street with her purple suitcase” 🤣

apparently mom knew this and said nothing to aunt or my friend.

so when you’re dealing with your drama, send thanks into the electrons that it could be much worse ☺️

My mother-in-law moved in 3 months ago. It has been quite the adjustment. If you figure out how to get ‘em to move out, please inform me.

We have gone with repeatedly saying, “You need to move out.” She is still unconvinced and has been dragging her feet. We shall see.

My Mom is possibly bipolar. Coming down from a possible mania episode. Going to try and get her to see a psychiatrist but it’s going to be hell.

When I was doing cat litter yesterday, I found out one of our cats has worms.

My sister needed help with a tech thing at her place yesterday. Didn’t think it was going to take that long to do so headed out late at night (she lives a hour away). Thought it was going to be a quick one and done thing. It never is with tech. So I had to spend the night and I am currently at her place waiting for her to get back from work.

This means that I won’t get back home till late tonight. So cats will have to be done tomorrow.

Text my mom all of this last night. From her response it might have set her off again. So might have a shit show to deal with I get back.

Oh the cherry on top, I have high anxiety and didn’t pack my meds (it was supposed to be in and out). So come to night when I get home, I am going to be in rough shape and have to deal with a possible manic person

    Welllllll…

This drama spreads out over 2 years or so so I will try to give you something interesting to read.

Our former superintendent in our apartment complex was a piece of work. Her and her husband were always going at it. They also liked to pry and peak and know what’s happening in the building. They would root through the trash if someone put styrofoam in the wrong bin and then come yell at them. So, we complained to the people in charge via email.

You know what those cretins did?

They just forwarded the email to the superintendent so I don’t need to tell you what kind of hate my partner and I were getting. Some peace was made but then Mrs. Superintendent was diagnosed with the big C and was basically on medical leave (it’s France so she was covered and paid so no bankruptcy). Mr. Superintendent continued to do the duties and then, she passed away. That was over a year ago.

At that point we had nobody taking out the bins or keeping shit working or even calling when the lift was out of service. We called. We complained. Nothing was happening. They hired a service to take care of the garbage but stopped paying them in December 2022. They got a new service after about a month.

Still, we complained. Lights weren’t working. Doors were broken. Cars were getting robbed in the underground parking. The people in charge didn’t give a damn…until…

One day a homeless fellow decided to start sleeping in our garbage area. This was towards the end of winter. We decided not to say anything and let this guy have a few warmer nights before making any calls.

Finally, the day came. All I had to say was “someone is getting something for free”.

Now comes the funny part of the drama. Legally speaking, this person can only be asked to leave. The police can ask them to leave, we can ask, but that guy can come back at no legal risk.

First, they installed cameras. That obviously is no deterrent. Now they need to change all the codes. Except they posted the codes on all the doors. So now he has the codes again. The guy keeps coming back.

The agency in charge has grown wise, so they don’t answer when I call anymore. So we got the landlord hounding them. And we’ve lived in 3 apartments in this complex, so we called the old landlords too. Now those landlords got all the landlords together and did the math that they have been paying for a superintendent and an empty apartment for over a year and they are threatening to fire the agency. The landlords showed up the other day and guess who they met? The dude in the trash area Oscar the Grouch-ing it taking a shower using the water they pay for.

All this BS has caused the new cleaning agency to quit so the landlords are taking turns cleaning the hallways and making sure there are lights and stuff. And, the agency cannot find anyone to be the superintendent because word has spread that it is out of hand here.

And that’s it. Not really a lot of drama, but enough to keep you busy for 5 minutes.

No way, I gotta see how this plays out. Maybe there will be a new super and we’ll invite them for dinner and be friends.

And finding a new place to live is a pain. Our landlord hasn’t raised our rent in 6 years and we live across the street from my son’s school and a 15 minute walk to work.
