The post, like these movies (some even embedded into the post!) is not for the faint of heart.
I appreciate this kind of content but are the constant rape metaphors really adding anything to your writing?
There is one I almost always think about but I can’t remember the name of it to save my life.
It’s based on a Lovecraft story and is about some elderly professor who finds something or comes into contact with aliens that expand his pineal gland and give him strange cosmic powers. My sister and I constantly quote two lines from the movie. The first is when the professor is showing a couple students his powers and disrobes, his arms outstretched and says “Touch me, if it pleases you.” The other is when one of the two students has their pineal gland transformed, it breaks through their skull like an eyestalk and we are shown a weird rainbow and pixelated scene as we look through this 3rd eye and the character exclaims, “It’s. So. Beautiful!”
I figure if anyone knows the name of this movie, they’d be here. I’d love to watch this turd again lol
Pretty sure this is From Beyond. I think it’s on Amazon’s streaming service, which is a treasure trove of trashy 80s movies.
Yes! Instantly recognized it once I read it. Every time I’d try to think of it, my stupid brain just came back with “They Live” which is an entirely different b movie. lol
Thank you :D
Yeah I struggled to remember the name of it a while ago when I was trying to track it down again.
Forbidden Zone. This is Danny Elfman (yeah, the guy behind ALL the movie music) directing a bizzare, reasonably offensive short flick (for what it’s worth it doesn’t seem cruel offensive? Hard to describe.)
The music is fantastic as you’d expect. The plot is bizzare but exists. It’s just so weird that it can’t be described so much as experienced.
