All I want is a Lumix S5 and an M42 to Leica L adaptor. That’s not expensive. Haha.

But seriously, my undisclosed musical intrument was more expensive than that. No, I don’t actually use it. Yes, that’s unfortunate.

I’ve been drooling over the Lumix S1R since it launched, I’d love to get it but my bank account keeps telling me no.

I’ve got a Lumix G9 currently, I love it I just wish adapting old lens to it were easier

        I’ve got a Lumix G9 so I might be a bit biased

But honestly go with the camera body that’s right on the edge of your budget

Having a full frame camera is really nice though I’ve got a Micro 4/3 camera. Basically if you want to adapt lenses having a full frame sensor makes all that easier.

I got Autism, ADHD, Depression, and the secret ingredient: Maladaptive Daydreaming!

I am a finely tuned machine for endless hours of staring at a wall looking at fun pictures in my head.

Me getting into gaming: Woo! Lots of fun games on my Xbox with cheap used games!

Me getting into computers: Yeah, this is great! A bit more expensive, but plenty of potential, just gotta keep it in budget!

    Me getting into cars: …fuck

    That was my childhood.

I wanted to be a musician, but instruments were expensive.

Now I’m a software developer, and depakene killed my rhythm sense and absolute pitch, so best I can do is put together some demo that underrepresents the capabilities of my software synthesizers. (I really need to switch anti-seizure medications, as it also acts as an ADHD worsener, a sleep worsener (melatonin does negate it for the most part, except for the harder wake-up times), and an anti-psychiatry argument (it’s also a mood stabilizer, which I don’t need), but I don’t have money for private doctors, public healthcare in our country only exists as a last resort and a show case)

I got slammed with ADHD, autism, and genius… I have more ideas than I can count, plan them out in detail, then get distracted by my next curiosity and shelve the last one with the rest of them.

Bonus points, I got the expensive hobbies one too, so I have a tackle box full of chainmail rings, a bunch of Raspberry Pi Nanos, a full-sized Raspberry Pi with a bunch of sensors and addressed LED strands, and TB of hard drive space chewed up by half finished projects.

Just reading that reminded me of a half-dozen projects that I haven’t touched beyond buying the parts for. And another bunch that are mostly working, but could really use some finishing touches so they aren’t as jank, but they made it to the barely functional stage, so that’s where they’ll probably stay until they fail enough to get any of my attention.

I got both. Turns out the pure natural sciences has a shitty job market. My degree can’t even pay for itself let alone my expensive hobby.

My hobbies are scuba, underwater photography, woodworking, and guns.

I’m basically a war criminal as far as my wallet is concerned.

I fold origami cranes from less than 1x1 cm paper that I cut myself. I’m quite good on terms of price per hour
