No idea what it’ll actually do.
hello <3
Hmmm, no, apparently it doesn’t do anything yet.
In theory it should, but only by an admin: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/pull/2055. Though, unsure if they broke it or not
@[email protected] Take a look at https://pawb.social/post/1138806, in theory, you shouldn’t be able to see it in All or Pawb.Social’s local instance, but if you subscribe, you’ll still see it. Though, it isn’t currently logging to the Moglog, so will take a look and submit a PR for that upstream.
Could it be that it’s only for local communities? I added a remote community id to that table. I’ll try again!
Unsure, it looks like it should be possible to use on all communities, not just local ones, but it won’t propagate if you’re not the originating community. Seems a little unfleshed out…
Ok, from my tests the mod_hide_community table does not work. What does work is the ‘hidden’ field in the community table. If you toggle than on then the community is subscriber only.
Oh, in that case maybe it’s an attempt at creating more private communities instead of a mod tool for hiding them.
I’ll play around with it later. Thank you for all the info!
