The app simply crashes after you press the download button. I thought maybe it’s because it’s truing to write to disk without permission, as it hasn’t asked for it. Manually gave permission through settings, no dice.
I have experienced same issue, didn’t found a fix so far. Also, it seems like there is no issue opened about that on GitHub.
I should have thought of reporting to the github, thanks for the reminder! I’ll get to that in the morning.
The error may be related to Android version. I’ve gotten a new phone today, and it seems image downloading works fine there. Previous version was Android 9, now I’m on Android 13.
I’m having the same problem. Opening the image in a browser then downloading from there works but I’ll be glad when Jerboa gets some polish.
Interesting, this is not a problem on my phone
It’s weird, it works for me on Android 11 but not on Android 8
What device/version of android are you using? My app does not crash when downloading. Using Fold 3/android 13
