Why not 13 or 15? Too superstitious for the former and too humble for the latter?
13 is too few and 15 is too many. I draw the line at 14 to be the optimal number of werewolf boyfriends.

Fair enough, 13 is too few indeed, but 15 definitely pushing it. 16 is hell of a lot too many. but 14 is enough to feel like you have an abundance of werewolf boyfriends while still being a manageable number.
