I got an email from Larian this morning, with some disappointing news. I ordered the CE as soon as I knew it was available (Sept. 12th, 2022), so I think I was pretty early in the queue.

I was sad to get this email on August 30 when I was expecting delivery August 31 (tomorrow). I got an email and confirmed my delivery address on August 11th, so assumed everything was on track.
Has anyone else physically received their CE yet? Anyone else get an email with an expected delivery date? Anyone else get this email or something similar?

I have been checking the website to buy a PC version of the collectors edition. It has been sold out since “bear sex” revealed night. I was hoping they would make more without the numbers. I just want the stuff.
Yeah, I was worried it would sell out quickly when announced; I assumed there was a limited quantity. It actually was available a lot longer than I expected. I do also hope they do offer another run at some point, once they catch up, apparently.
This, and of course, also hope for a full box set for the Definitive Edition.
Got this email today with a pretty early pre-order as well. Pretty disappointing that it arrived so late. We’re actually moving soon so a 4 week delay (with a possibility of further delays) is pretty inconvenient. I understand that there’s been a huge demand for this game and they’ve been swamped with things to do but was really looking forward to having it :(
My email did offer the option to update the delivery address which I had already confirmed on August 11th, so hopefully you can update your delivery address if you need to.

You guys have the PC or PS5 collectors edition? I would assure you don’t need it to play the game.
PC Collectors Edition. Yeah, I’ve been playing the game since release (early access, really), they did send out the Steam codes at PC release. This was early compared to when they originally said the game would release and CE would ship. I just want my (expensive) goodies!
What goodies will you get?
Each Collector’s Edition contains a digital copy of the game, a custom sticker sheet, a 25cm Mind Flayer vs. Drow battle diorama, a 160-page hardcover art book, a cloth map of Faerûn, a set of D&D-inspired origin character sheets, a metal tadpole keyring, a Magic: The Gathering booster pack, a custom-engraved metal d20 based on the dice from Baldur’s Gate 3, and a certificate of authenticity, all within a mind-flayer-inspired collector’s box.

And yea. Over on Reddit I had an account with my name on it and sort of regretted it sometimes. Here I went with a subtle reference to one of my favorite TV Shows.
Btw not sure if you saw the discussion post that I created yesterday. I wanted to tag the mods but unfortunately the apps are still lacking a bit in that regard.
