I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it as an insult. I wanted to stress that the utility aspect of being able to heal is a major draw. If you’re starting out, you don’t really know what’s waiting for you, and that minor heal looks like a smart choice.
Full disclosure: the first character I created for any RPG ever was a Ranger. I was playing the NES port of Ultima III, didn’t want to get my ass handed to me, and the minor heal abilities looked appealing. That was…jeez, in the late 80s I think?
