Another disaster for Lionsgate and just three weeks after release.
I didn’t see the original until about a year ago, and I thought it was good but not amazing. I think it was a “time and place” thing, and the style and Brandon Lee legend appealed to a lot of teenaged kids. I suspect the remake just comes across as “trying too hard.”
This remake just made me wonder if the original source material is even any good. It’s not just the way they are filmed; the story itself kinda sucks.
