They may have been technically right about the Republic’s corruption but they were clearly rebelling for their right not to pay taxes and to have fewer regulations, rather than for any kind of greater freedom that would have benefited the masses. I think the philosophy of the CIS had a lot going for it, but was ruined by them being Sheeve’s puppets all along. They never had a chance.
