It’s about making things taste sweet without calories, it’s at best indirectly beneficial.
For me it’s the fact that when I drink sugar I get energy spikes and mood issues, when I drink sugar free this doesn’t happen.
Sugar is basically the purest from of energy you can put in your body, of course it gives you energy spikes.
