Why would you use a crack on an internet service that can scrape your IP and easily find you?

Why would you do this especially when a damn good open source alternative exists?

The patches involved in the crack prevent the Adobe software from “calling home”.

And just because alternatives exist doesn’t mean Adobe doesn’t have amazing proprietary software; outpainting has never been easier than in Photoshop Beta, plus they’ve developed a lot of really neat neural filters.

I’m sure it’s possible to recreate all of these features by installing umpteen extensions into Automatic1111, but hot damn Photoshop just works.

prevent the Adobe software from “calling home”.

The work is done on the servers unless Adobe has started requiring you to have a powerful 8gb plus GPU and is sharing its model file.

Very true, many of the actions taken mention whether the processing is being handled in the cloud or locally.

While I’m not going to claim to be an expert on the matter, it’s my impression that authentication & verification are limited primarily to downloading/updating software— once you’ve managed to bypass the activation and keep mind to avoid updating directly through the app, you’re “inside the walled garden”.

An open-source alternative with generative AI as powerful as or comparable to Photoshop’s ? I need to know the name :o

        There isn’t, so far.

One problem with Linux preachers is that they all claim you can easily replace Adobe products with FOSS, based solely on that time 6 years ago where they needed to crop an image and used GIMP to do so, completely ignoring the real use cases and needs of designers and what not.

True and it’s basically the same for other Adobe products.
Tried to do some fx using davinci fusion, all the damn tutorials are outdated, too much work trying to figure it out for a shitpost.
It ended with me oppening After Effects, using Copilot and rendering.
