      I always thought when they have the dimple in the middle like mine they’re called inverted? I could be wrong though. :p

        Pretty sure those are just your milk ducts which reach back to the alveoli cells which actually produce the milk during lactation. Inverted nipples actually go in when erect instead of outward. Usually when non-erect they lay flat.

        If you or anyone who typically does not have inverted nipples suddenly finds one of their nipples changing then they should contact their doctor as it may be a sign of a more serious condition.

        Neither of the above pictures are of inverted nipples. An inverted nipple is the tip of the nipple is inside the areola. And it’s painful for some women but not for others.
