minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink5•6 months agoI would say it’s because the modern material circumstances of the state has led them to a surplus of manpower compared to their enemies but a deficiency in industrial efficiency… But two things can be both true and interdependent.
As a point of clarification, historically russians force huge amounts of Slavic men into war because russians don’t value human life
