It being a mod doesn’t matter if it used copyrighted materials they don’t have permission to use to make it.

It sounds like they had some stuff in there Nintendo took issue with, and since it was on Steam, which is owned by Valve, Valve took the mod down at the request of Nintendo.

The portal revolution mod hasn’t been taken down for any reason, and has nothing to do with Nintendo.

The other user mentioned it as an example of something that hasn’t been taken down but very well could be. They were still talking about the issue brought up by the main topic of the post. In either case: It being a mod is irrelevant. It’s not what it is, but what is used in its creation that makes it open to litigation or not.

Something being a mod is very relevant. A mod is played using the games assists, and it needs those assists to be played. Mods are encouraged by the game devs.

You know what, I feel like I’m talking to grade school children here. All of this has been a thing for decades. I’m sorry if you’re unable to understand something as simple as a MOD versus an unauthorized remake.

              I can’t help you.

How ironic when you’re the one who is not only completely missing the point, you keep changing goal posts when it’s pointed out what you said made no sense in the context of what you’re replying to, and being hostile about it. I see this way too much from you. I’m just gonna block and move on. Have a nice life.

Oh no we’ll never talk again?
I’ll never be able to explain the most basic PC gaming concepts and functions to you again?
