minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•8 months agoWhy would he have been in jail prior to trial? They don’t do pre-trial detention for fraud, and the only way for this trial to lead to jail time is a (deserved) contempt charge.
Any normal defendent would be in jail though, probably before the trial even started, but definitely after calling a judge names while in court. I’m simultaneously shocked and not at all surprised he isn’t.
