A Staten Island woman buying pot from a local deli got into a misunderstanding with the cashier — who ended up macing her, dragging her outside by her hair, kicking her in the head and mistakenly calling her trans.

Why the fuck is everyone focusing on suing the deli owner and not on the piece of shit who attacked her?

      Deep Pockets.

Because the owner is still responsible for the actions of their employees while on the clock, they are liable for damages caused by their employees. Criminal charges would be taken against the actual employee, but civil suits will go after whatever responsible party has the most money.

But the employee is the obvious danger here, not the business. Fuck the money. That scumfuck was able to beat an innocent woman down in broad daylight with the blessing of the NYPD. They refused to meaningfully investigate or do anything about the guy and no one here is even talking about him. What’s going to stop him from stalking her, or raping her, or killing her?

Does no one around here think at all?

How is she going to use settlement money when she’s dead?

Why wouldn’t the police be able to just get a warrant and subpoena records then?

The reason why is because they just don’t care, and they don’t care because they’re a bunch of fucking tyrants that need to be roasted slowly on a rotisserie. With pineapples. And barbecue sauce.

So who’s gonna protect that poor woman?
