    While this is hella goofy, it looks like the bolts were already in place for a larger flange. And they just kinda… made do. Sorta.

      Anchor bolts were already installed, and then the base was changed. No time to redo it, so just make it work, and hope the client doesn’t notice.

      Probably didn’t have the masonry bit they needed to do it.

              Someone fell against the bathroom sink 7 years ago during christmas, put just enough pressure on the drain pipe to crack it. Managed to seal it up tight by entombing it in half a tube of silicon caulk and a bunch of zipties to stabilize things in place.

              One of these days i’ll get around to replacing that PVC pipe and fix it proper.
