"President Biden and former President Trump each had the second-highest percentage of respondents viewing them favorably, with 44 percent saying so. But Biden had a minus-9 net favorability rating, while Trump had a minus-10 net favorability rating. "
I think that is largely because of a lack of name recognition. Once he gets up on the screen in front of a lot of eyes. His presence and his words should turn a lot of people off.
Exactly what I opened this thread to ask - what is his favorability when NOT attached to the kennedy name?
To be honest the only reasonably current Kennedy I knew of was Caroline. And she’s generally been out of things for a while. And even then a lot of things related to the Kennedy name are mostly nostalgic goggles. It’s a real question had John f Kennedy served a full-term or even two full terms whether or not we would remember him the way we do. The man was a skilled fucking orator. But he was killed early in his term. And will never really know ultimately as a president how he stacked up.
Yeah, I’ve been brushing up on presidential history during the 1900s recently and I tend to agree that JFK would be looked at at least a little differently without the assassination. Bobby, on the other hand, is another story. I don’t know if he could have won in the general but if he had I think he would have been a true icon in our presidential history books. Heck, he would have continued to do everything he damn well could to help the people even if he had gotten trounced.
I’m turned off by his positions, him being an anti-vaxxer, and a general conspiracy theorist. What a loser, who sullies the legacy his last name.
