This a bug on Lemmy, but if we want to circumvent it we must play ball and configure our communities in such a way that it won’t affect us.

Basically you for a community to have both English AND Undetermined languages selected in order for things to work properly.

Otherwise it could be impossible for a Lemmy user to reply to either a Mastodon User or to reply to the post itself.
