    A fun fact is that the subscriber count only counts people from your instance who have subscribed, not the wider fediverse. There’s probably thousands hundreds dozens of others waiting for posts.

      I thought that was true only for the remote mirrors of the community and the original version (pawb.social here) gives statistics for all of the fediverse?

      Why doesn’t it count the wider fediverse? Lemmy is really weird with sub info like that. Metrics like growth/mo is kinda strange too. Once you’re in the 500,000+ range, you might only see 3,000/mo but the sub will be massive and vibrant already.

        Probably a bug - communities already drive other canonical info like upvote counts, idk why they couldn’t serve subscriber counts.
