We laugh but this does an excellent point of underscoring the whole power dynamic in Reddit.

Who normally keeps these subs on message, and controls content? The mods.

The mods are volunteers that curate the content of Reddit. And Reddit did a shit job by getting into a pissing contest with their own best assets.

As long as it’s legal under U.S. law, and you hate it, we encourage you to post it.” As you can imagine, the subreddit has some gross stuff now.

    This is gold

I’m just saying, r/videos is like the perfect place to start allowing porn. So much porn is in video form.

Omg, that’s disgusting. Where, where did they post the porn? Which one, which one did they posts it on?

        PerfectlyCutsCreams instead of PerfectlyCutScreams

edit: huh I swore I made the original comment on a post that linked to r/ perfectlycutscreams, it seems I just have hallucinated so not surprising you’re asking where!

I love this. Not only does it show the importance of mods that reddit is shitting on and stick it to reddit by preventing ad revenue from these subs, but it highlights some of reddit’s other dumb policies. Casual uses trying to visit these subs on mobile are going to be annoyed that they can’t anymore because reddit blocks NSFW on mobile and those dedicated enough to use reddit’s shitty mobile app are going to be disappointed again with the bad experience.

    • those dedicated enough to use reddit’s shitty mobile app are going to be disappointed again with the bad experience

Something like 97% of users are already on the official app so you may be overestimating the dedication required here

true, but I meant ppl who don’t use reddit on the regular and are just doing a search. Also, a lot of ppl who use the official app just don’t know about alternatives. They’re not necessarily there because they want that experience
