Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown launches next week. While we really dug the game, there's one odd detail that stuck out: one of the game's minor NPCs will be voiced by a text-to-speech program at launch, seemingly because someone forgot to record and add a human being's voice for the role.

    Weird to leave it in and not just cut it out with a flag on text to speech audio but at least they claim they will update it. I will definitely be waiting before buying.

      This is another slide into releasing half-baked games that take another year or two to turn “normal”.

    Unpopular opinion: most voice acting sucks and I’d rather just have text only. Sometimes even when the voice acting is good I still want them to shut the fuck up.
