YouTube star MrBeast said Sunday that he had been invited to join a submersible trip to the Titanic wreckage but declined.
Pretty gross how people are using this to pump up their notoriety, from Beast here to the others saying they “knew” this would happen. Even if it were true, it’s not something you start bragging about. People died. Disgusting.
That “someone” has 21 million followers and makes a living on notoriety.
Seems like an irrelevant point. What Mr Beast said was that he was invited to join for a trip via sub down to the Titanic. Assuming the same company involved with the implosion offered the invite, that has to be traumatic for him - which he seems to be expressing via that tweet.
So only one I’m feeling bad about is the kid that was apparently pressured to the trip or something. Couple billionaires less is kinda whatever to me, compared to the migrant ship that sank while Greece and the rest of EU just stood there dicks in their hands.

Deeply suspicious of that screenshot he’s using as proof, given that a blue bubble means that’s a message he sent to someone else, but he definitely seems like someone they would invite on board for a free trip.
I agree. When asked about that on his Twitter post he said “My friend sent me the screenshot of when he invited me. Didn’t think to scroll up and screenshot our old texts myself.”
Why would someone send text messages, and then send them screenshots of the message? Quite mysterious.

“could have been on it” … but without confirming exactly who made the invitation. Interesting. He’s about to be asked publicly why he declined.
This whole thing is just so sad. How dare he take a vessel that had not been verified safe at those depths.
