On one hand, this could likely get more people to go vote. But, on the other hand, I’m not sure what kind of voter would be motivated by just a hand-drawn I voted sticker alone

(For anyone with poor logic skills that’s taking this personally, I’m not considering people that were already going to vote and want the sticker, just the ones that might vote now that weren’t going to before)

I’m going to rely on the data saying more voters = more Dem wins, but I’m not entirely convinced. I’m inclined to think they may be even dumber than the mythical undecided voters

It’ll bring up the young vote quite a bit, I’d guess. Remember some people are disinterested in the voting process because they don’t think their vote will change anything. It doesn’t mean they aren’t informed or that they’re idiots. It’s a silly sticker, but that could really boost the 18-24 vote. I’m all for it.

I agree with your premise (disinterested voters exist) and think your conlusion is debatable (the idiots part at least), but I encourage your optimism and wholeheartedly agree with your goals!

Many of my peers and I (1995-1999 ish) have to fight against the urge to be apathetic despite having supposedly progressive views. Personally, a lot of these “issues” should be no brainers (gun control please). If it’s not mandatory and nothing seems to change, why bother?

This sticker legitimately made my morning and would definitely get me and any friends I shared with it out to vote for the “memes” if we lived in Michigan. It’s hilarious

Now that the sticker has made national headlines, it’s now a collectible, so collectors, maybe even speculators, are going to pay money to get these…

It beats the heck out of “I voted” in helvetica with a clip art wavy flag. I think the appeal is that it’s stupid, just like American politics.

If politicians start showing some self awareness more people will vote, and this pin shows self-awareness.

I dunno, that’s my stoned analysis.
